One click from catalog to purchase
By linking directly from the products in the catalog to the e-shop, Carl Ras has shortened the process of buying.
To Carl Ras, which is one of the greatest suppliers of tools for Danish carpenters, the advertisement catalog is the most important sale channel. A survey among the customers has shown that 96 % have been attracted to buy after have read the advertisement catalog.
So what is more obvious to make the distance between the catalog and the purchase shorter? That is what Carl Ras has done by placing little ‘shop’-icons next to the products in their online catalog. The icons link directly to the e-shop on Carl Ras’ website and hereby the purchase is only one click away.
Web Manager at Carl Ras, Kurt Hindkjær, says:
‘Over the last year we have seen a growth in visitors on our website and an impressive increase in turnover. Although there are many factors contributing to this tendency, we are convinced that iPaper has played a significant role. Links to the e-shop have just recently been implemented, but it has caused great activity on our e-shop, and I have great expectations for the function in the long term.’
Online = More possibilities
Carl Ras still also offers their advertisement catalog as a print catalog because some of the customers still prefer this way of communication. But according to Kurt Hindkjær Carl Ras can add extra ‘layers’ in the advertisement catalog by making it online with iPaper.
'Using iPaper we present ourselves professionally online and give users a more readable and greater experience of the catalog. Most importantly, however, is that we can create synergy between the catalog and the internet and shorten the buying process, making it easier and quicker for the customer, ‘ Kurt Hindkjær explains.
